PHOENIX — Tesla owners in the West Valley may soon see lower wait times for collision repair services.

The electric vehicle company owned by billionaire Elon Musk recently opened a new Tesla Collision Center at The Base, a 144-acre industrial park at the northwest corner of Litchfield and Bethany Home roads.

“This facility is representative of the kind of innovation we value here in Glendale,” Mayor Jerry P. Weiers said in a Tuesday announcement. “I’m proud to welcome Tesla’s Collision Center to our city.”

Centers like this are state-of-the-art facilities designed to deliver the highest standard of repair and service for Tesla owners, city officials said.

How will Tesla Collision Center in Glendale benefit EV owners?

Tesla opened the Glendale collision center to support the nearby community, which has a high EV adoption rate and robust service needs, according to the city’s announcement.

The facility sits within one of The Base’s seven buildings, which makes accessing Tesla services easier for the 22,500 active-duty service members and their families who live near Luke Air Force Base, which trains F-16 and F-35 pilots and maintainers and which the Tesla center is adjacent to.

Plus, having a new Glendale center could relieve capacity at other Tesla service centers in Scottsdale, Tempe and Gilbert.

New collision center reflects Tesla’s desire to expand Glendale footprint

Aside from this new collision center opening, it’s been a big week for Tesla.

The company reported an increase in sales in the third-quarter, saying that sales through September rose 7% compared to the same period a year ago, according to the Associated Press.

It’s a sharp turnaround from the two prior quarters, both of which saw steep declines due to Musk’s leadership role in the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), from which he has since resigned.
