Madison Street Festival to feature ‘Stuff the Bus’ School Supply Drive

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) — The 43rd annual Madison Street Festival is this Saturday, and one of its features is a “Stuff The Bus” opportunity for street festival goers to help schools by dropping off teacher supplies, hygiene items and much more!

A school bus with banners is parked in downtown Madison to promote the event. Attendees can enjoy bright floats, hundreds of vendors, and live performance which attract thousands of people for the annual event.

Items the public is asked to bring for “Stuff The Bus” include things like:

Individual student needs:

  • Deodorant
  • Body Wipes
  • Bar soap
  • Laundry Pods
  • Feminine Hygiene items

Individualized classroom supplies for teachers: 

  • Kleenex
  • Clorox Wipes
  • Paper Towels- Single rolls
  • Disinfectant Spray

Programs within city school:

  • Individually packaged snacks for kiddos who might be hungry

Festival goers are asked to bring donated items to the Bus located on the corner of Front Street and Sullivan Street.

The festival starts with a kickoff parade at 9 a.m., along Church Street, followed by an opening ceremony on the Entertainment Stage. Throughout the day, performances will take place on both the Community Showcase stage and the Entertainment Stage. Tap here for more.
