MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) – Lux BRū, a café and brunch spot on Madison Boulevard, has permanently closed its doors.

Lux BRū occupied suite C at 8141 Madison Blvd., where it was known for its French-inspired, scratch-made dishes, espresso bar, and tea shop.

September 30 was the café’s final day.

The closure was confirmed on September 10 by a notice posted to the café’s Facebook page, stating, “Dear Lux Bru Family, We’ve got some news to share, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag of feelings. After much thought, we’ve decided to close our location. It’s not easy to say goodbye to all the memories we’ve made together, but we believe this change is what we need to continue our growth and to thrive. Thank you for your unwavering support. Our last day at Lux will be September 30, 2025. We eagerly anticipate to see what we dream about next!”

Some customers reacted to the social media post by saying, “Oh no, I’ll miss the salmon and grits as well as the iced chai with lavender.”

“A true gem in every way that I hate to see go! Best wishes on all your future endeavors.”

“I am completely saddened!! This has become my spot!!! Blueberry refresher, avocado toast, and salmon and grits… Lord help me.”

According to their Facebook page, Lux Bru opened in November 2022.
