We’re less than a week into fall and while our wardrobes may not have made the shift to the new season, footwear brands sure have. Adding to the list of autumn-embracing sneakers on the way, New Balance has just previewed a new 2002R that features a “Woodland” upper. The go-to runner has remained steady with its output lately, with everything from a re-release of the OG “Protection Pack” to a new GORE-TEX pair offering versatile looks.
In “Woodland” green, the New Balance 2002R begins with another mixed material upper composition. For starters, a mesh base and leather underlays serve up the fall green while the suede overlays are almost mossy-like in their appearance, donning a complementary rich green that is further backed by a matching sole unit and flat laces.
At the time of writing, New Balance has not yet indicated when this “Woodland” iteration of the 2002R will be releasing. Stay tuned for updates, including the unveiling of additional fall products from the brand, as we expect this pair to drop by the end of the year via New Balance and select retailers at a starting price of $155 USD.
