Dolly Parton has postponed her upcoming Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum Theater at Caesars Palace due to “health challenges” for which she will need to “have a few procedures.”

The 10-time Grammy-winning artist announced that her six-night special limited engagement set for December will be moved to September 2026 as she focuses on getting “show ready.”

“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” the country music legend wrote on Instagram. “As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

She continued, “In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you. While I’ll still be able to work on all of my projects from here in Nashville, I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say.”

Parton also affirmed to fans that her announcement had no bearing on potentially retiring from touring. “And don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding.”

As the musician noted, previously purchased tickets are available for the new dates, with refunds also offered.

The “Jolene” singer initially announced the shows in June 2025, with “Dolly: Live In Las Vegas” being described as a “hit-driven concert event” that would bring the artist back to Sin City for her first extended run in over three decades. At the time, Parton said she’s “always loved singing there” and was “looking so forward” to performing.

Outside of the planned concert series, Parton is the producer of stage musical Dolly: An Original Musical, which is expected to hit Broadway sometime in 2026, following summer previews in Nashville this year. She is also set to receive the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the Academy’s 2025 Governors Awards Nov. 16.
