A Ring security camera in Grand Terrace captured a domestic violence incident early on Sept. 18, that led to the arrest of a Riverside man later this week, authorities said.
The footage reportedly showed an unknown woman crying and calling for help on the front porch of a residence on the 22000 block of Main Street around 3:30 a.m. A man then approached her and dragged her by her hair out of camera view, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Central Station detectives assumed the investigation and identified the suspect as 33-year-old Angel Gonzales, a Riverside resident. Deputies from the Central Station Multiple Enforcement Team located Gonzales during a traffic stop in the area of Iowa Avenue and Center Street on September 22.
Gonzales, a convicted felon, was found in possession of several rounds of ammunition. He was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center on suspicion of spousal abuse, kidnapping, and being a felon in possession of ammunition, according to authorities.
He is being held on $100,000 bail.
