HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Everyone loves a party, and for The Snail on the Wall bookstore, they have two special birthdays to celebrate soon with their community of bookworms.
The Snail on the Wall opened on Wellman Avenue in Five Points in 2024, having been a “bookstore without a store” for seven years before that.
“The Snail has been on a wonderful journey, and we are grateful to be able to give Huntsville the independent bookstore it deserves,” founder Lady Smith said.
In celebration of both eight years as a bookstore, and one year in brick-and-mortar, they will host a birthday party on September 26-27 from 10 to 5.
“We have so many loyal customers who have become friends, and we want this Birthday Party to celebrate the people that are helping The Snail on the Wall thrive,” owners Smith and Christina Tabereaux said.
The birthday party will have activities, drinks from Coffee Break and of course, many books and book related gifts. Guests will also be able to win many different prizes each day, including gift certificates, t-shirts, totes and audiobooks.
“The Snail on the Wall is all about building community, and our many events do just that by bringing readers together to learn, enjoy great discussions, and have fun!” Tabereaux said.
The Snail on the Wall hosts other community-centered events such as book talks with nationally recognized authors, craft nights, book release parties, children’s storytimes and more. You can learn more about these events and the store on The Snail on the Wall website.
