Alysa Liu, the 2025 World Championship figure skater, announced she will scrap her program music in light of an unfolding investigation into a 15-year-old girl who was found dead in a car registered to singer D4vd.

“As many of you know, I recently debuted a new short program for the ‘25-‘26 season,” Liu, 20, wrote in the caption of an Instagram post Wednesday.

“However, in light of recent news, my team & I are confidently pursuing a different direction that aligns with my values & just my overall ethos,” Liu said.

“I’m eager to start brainstorming new ideas, & I want to ensure my creative process isn’t rushed. So, in the meantime, you may see some familiar programs. Thank you for your ongoing support!”

The Oakland, California native planned to skate to “This is How it Feels” by D4vd and Icelandic artist Laufey in her short program leading up to the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics.

Fans of the world-renowned skater praised Liu’s decision to axe the song from her program.

“Thank you for standing up for what is right,” one user wrote.

Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s mutilated body was found over two weeks ago in the trunk of a Tesla sedan sitting in an impound lot in Hollywood Hills, a car registered to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke.

Rivas went missing from Lake Elsinor, Calif., in 2024, Rivas’ mom told TMZ.

Her decomposed body was wrapped in plastic and was first reported to authorities because the car started to emit a “foul odor.”

She was found only a day after her 15th birthday, meaning she was likely only 14 when she died due to the decomposed nature of her body, the Los Angeles Times reported.

“As many of you know, Celeste Rivas Hernandez has been identified as the body found last week,” organizers Esmeralda Lozano and Gisel Vera wrote in a GoFundMe for the girl’s family.

“She was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend.”

The teen’s body was recently released to her family for funeral services, TMZ reported.

Law enforcement officials have not yet named Burke, 20, as a suspect, but searched the Hollywood Hills mansion where the alt R&B star had been living.

Burke has canceled the remainder of his world tour amid the alarming investigation.
