PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A man is facing charges after authorities found multiple Identification documents not associated with him along with drugs hidden inside a vehicle during a traffic stop.
On July 21, around 9:55 p.m., officers pulled a vehicle over near the intersection of Highway 67 and Mountain Valley Road.
Priceville Police identified the driver as Christopher Matthew Tennyson, 38, of Decatur. Following the traffic enforcement phase, a narcotics investigation began.
While searching the vehicle, officers found multiple identification documents and credit cards not associated with Tennyson, along with synthetic urine and drug paraphernalia.
Additionally, a quantity of methamphetamine was found within a hidden compartment behind the vehicle’s stereo.
Priceville Police told News 19 that all of the contraband was confiscated during the traffic stop, and Tennyson was released pending further investigation.
On August 30, Priceville Police obtained warrants for Tennyson’s arrest for the following charges:
- Trafficking in stolen identities
- Unlawful possession of a controlled substance
- Operating a vehicle with a false or secret compartment
- Manufacture, sale, or use of synthetic urine
- Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
On September 24, Priceville Police executed the warrants at the Cullman County Jail, where Tennyson was already in custody. After serving the warrants, Tennyson was transported to the Morgan County Jail, where he was booked and is being held on a $30,600 bond.
