BOAZ, Ala (WHNT) — Boaz City Schools has named Leslie Price as the next principal of Boaz Elementary School.
The school system announced that Price would be taking the helm of the school on Thursday.
The system said Price began her 25 years of service with Boaz teaching first, second, third and fifth grades. She then served as an instructional partner at Boaz Elementary for 10 years before serving two years as the assistant principal at Boaz Elementary and Corley Elementary.
“Mrs. Price has dedicated her entire career to the Boaz community, and we are thrilled to see her step into this leadership role,” Superintendent Dr. Ashley Walls said. “Her deep roots in our district, combined with her instructional expertise and strong relationships, make her the perfect choice to lead Boaz Elementary into the future.”
The school system said Price is a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She also holds a master’s degree in elementary education and an educational specialist degree from the University of Alabama.
Price said she is excited to be taking over the post.
“I am super excited to continue to serve the students, families, and community of Boaz,” she said.
