Summary

  • Kojima Productions has officially announced its latest IP, Physint
  • The game is an action espionage title and a collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment
  • The key cast includes Charlee Fraser, Don Lee and Minami Hamabe

Alongside OD and Death Stranding: Mosquito, Kojima Productions also revealed its newest action espionage IP, Physint, during its “Beyond the Strand” 10th-anniversary livestream. The reveal included official poster art and confirmed an all-star ensemble: Charlee Fraser, Don Lee and Minami Hamabe.

Though still in its conceptual phase, Physint will leverage cutting-edge technology to blur the lines between film and games, marrying cinematic storytelling with interactive design. First announced in January 2024 as a collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment, Hideo Kojima described Physint as a “next-generation action espionage game.” He remarked then, “Two years from now, I will celebrate the 40th anniversary of my game production career. I’m confident this title will be the culmination of my work.”

While the project remains in early development, it’s poised to captivate longtime genre fans particularly those who followed Kojima’s Metal Gear franchise. Back in spring, Kojima noted that Physint is likely five to six years from release, placing its earliest launch window around 2030 and positioning it as a potential debut title for PlayStation 6.
