A 31-year-old youth facility employee in Riverside County has been arrested following allegations of predatory crimes against children under his care, authorities announced Saturday.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, detectives with the San Jacinto Station began investigating Antoine Christopher Sims in September 2024 after reports of inappropriate contact between him and juvenile residents at what was only described as a licensed residential treatment facility for minors.
During the yearlong investigation, deputies identified multiple victims and uncovered what they said was a pattern of grooming, inappropriate communication and unlawful sexual contact.
On Sept. 18, 2025, deputies located Sims near Sycamore Canyon Lane and Bachelor Peak Street in Winchester. He was arrested without incident and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility on multiple felony charges, including lewd acts with a child and oral copulation with a minor under 16.
The sheriff’s department stated that the case remains active and ongoing, and as juvenile victims are involved, no further details will be released at this time.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator D. Hollingsworth at the San Jacinto Station at 951-654-2702 or Riverside Sheriff’s Dispatch at 951-776-1099.
Resources for survivors of sexual assault and exploitation are available through the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 800-656-4673 or at rainn.org.
