Do you love scary movies? Do you want to get paid to watch them? Well, you’re in luck!
CableTV, a cable and internet comparison site, wants to find a “Thrilltern” to stream five horror films from their list of the scariest movies. The “Thrilltern” will then create a video in which they rank and review each of the movies.
The chosen intern will receive $666, a $50 Uber Eats Gift Card and a one-year subscription to streaming service Screambox.
CableTV will also cover the costs of required streaming services to complete the “Thrilltern’s” movie watch.
“This position is not for the faint of heart—we’re looking for real fans of fear, enthusiasts of the eerie, and devotees to the dreadful,” the company’s website says.
To qualify, applicants should be over the age of 18 and U.S. residents. Applications will be open on the CableTV website until Oct. 7 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Those interested can apply here.
CableTV said their ideal “Thrilltern” is someone “new to the cinemaphile-meets-working-life scene.”
“We’re looking for students attending a college, university, trade school, or even the school of life,” the website read. “That’s right, even if you’re not going to a formally accredited school, we can help you get schooled in cinematic spookiness.”
Applicants should note that the “Thrilltern” position does not count toward any school credits.
What does CableTV say are the 13 scariest movies?
The chosen “Thrilltern” will be required to watch five horror films that CableTV says are the scariest. Those five movies can be chosen from any of the 13 that the site lists as its top choices.

- “Candyman” (1992)
- “The Evil Dead” (1981)
