With Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album on the horizon, fans will soon have a new way to celebrate together. Cinemark announced Friday that it will host Taylor Swift’s “The Official Release Party of a Showgirl,” a nationwide theater event featuring an exclusive music video premiere and special behind-the-scenes content.

The celebration begins Friday, October 3, and runs through Sunday, October 5, with showings at Cinemark theaters across the United States. The event will include the world premiere of Swift’s new music video “The Fate of Ophelia,” along with brand-new lyric videos and never-before-seen personal reflections from the singer on songs from her upcoming album “The Life of a Showgirl,” according to a Cinemark news release.

Tickets went on sale at 12:12 p.m. ET on September 19 and are available for $12 plus taxes and fees online, through the Cinemark app, or at participating box offices. Screenings will be offered in standard format as well as Cinemark XD, the company’s premium large-format experience that features its biggest screens and immersive surround sound.

“We’re honored to bring Taylor Swift, one of the most iconic and influential entertainers of our time, back to the big screen at Cinemark,” said Sean Gamble, the company’s president and CEO, in the release. Gamble noted that Swift’s 2023 Eras Tour concert film proved the singer’s ability to create a “vibrant, communal setting” for fans to sing and dance together.

Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl” was first announced in August during a surprise teaser for her appearance on her now fiancé Travis Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights.” In a clip released ahead of the Aug. 13 episode, co-hosted by Kelce and his brother Jason, Swift unveiled the album title while opening a mint green briefcase containing a vinyl record representing the project, though the cover art was deliberately blurred.

Leading up to the teaser, Swift’s official website featured a cryptic countdown clock and a series of stylized photos hinting at a new era. The announcement came nearly a year after her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” which included tracks inspired by her relationship with Kelce.

This new chapter follows a landmark achievement earlier this year, when Swift secured ownership of her master recordings from Big Machine Records after a years-long dispute.

Attendees can expect more than just a music video premiere. Cinemark said the event will also feature behind-the-scenes footage from the “Fate of Ophelia” shoot, new lyric videos, and Swift’s personal commentary about her new songs. The show will begin promptly at the listed start time with no trailers, and tickets are non-refundable.

For full event details and ticket information, visit the official website or the Cinemark app.
