FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) — Charges against former NFL player TJ Yeldon have been dismissed, according to the athlete’s lawyer.
“Mr. Yeldon was arrested on August 18, 2025, following allegations of domestic violence,” legal counsel Robert Stankoski said in a news release. “After review, the complaining witness declined to pursue the matter further.”
Timothy “TJ” Yeldon, 31, of Daphne, Alabama, had been arrested last month on third-degree domestic violence, third-degree criminal mischief, and interference with a domestic violence emergency call, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
Yeldon was taken to the BCSO corrections center and was released on a $2,000 bond.
But on Wednesday, the prosecutor recommended dismissing the case and all charges were subsequently dropped, Yeldon’s lawyer said.
“From the outset, Mr. Yeldon consistently maintained his innocence,” Stankoski said. “While the arrest received significant media attention, it is important to emphasize that the matter has nowbeen resolved in Mr. Yeldon’s favor.”
Yeldon, a running back, has played for the Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Before that, he attended Alabama, where he played for the Crimson Tide.
The athlete “is sincerely grateful to his family, friends, and supporters who stood by himduring this difficult time,” Stankoski said.
“Mr. Yeldon is eager to move forward where he can focus on his life, family and community.”
