REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. (WHNT) — The 28th annual Oktoberfest is making a return to Redstone Arsenal Activity Field in late September.
The event is said to be held from September 19-21 and is open to the public.
This event is a spin on the traditional Oktoberfest featuring a carnival for all ages, plus German food, music, and beverages under the Festhalle Tent!
Below is a list of some of the rides, food and music to experience at the event:
Rides:

- Expo Wheel
- Merry Go Round
- Viper
- 1001 Nachts
- Spook House
- And more!
Food and beverages:
- Schnitzel
- Brats
- Pretzels
- German potato salad
- Sauerkraut
- Authentic German beverages & steins
Music:
- King Guys Oktoberfest Brass Band
- DJ Slim Rob (Saturday only)
Admission is $15 for general entry and $25 for entry plus unlimited rides. Admission is also cash only, but cash and credit are accepted inside the gate for food and drinks.
Starting at 4 p.m. Friday, September 19, Gate 10, Patton Road south will be used exclusively for Oktoberfest traffic. Gate 8 will open at 4 p.m. to accommodate other traffic flow.
Additionally, at 3:30 p.m., Redstone Police will begin establishing a temporary perimeter around the event’s parking lots. This will result in traffic disruption on and along Mauler, Patton Aerobee, Honest John and Hercules roads.
