A video posted to Instagram by Ben Bruno on Tuesday depicts him starting his morning by leaving to grab coffee at 8:15 a.m. on a bright and sunny day.
The video cuts to him driving about three minutes later down a street in Beverly Hills, but not just any street. It’s that street – the one with all the palm trees that everyone takes photos at.
To clarify, there are a few notable spots; according to the city of Beverly Hills, the most “iconic vistas” are located at North Beverly Drive and Carmelita Avenue, Carmelita Avenue and North Hillcrest Road and North Canon Drive and Park Way.
It was not clear which exact road Ben was driving on. It’s also unclear what day he took the video.
Regardless, as he made his way to the coffee shop, there were so many different groups of people gathering in the middle of the tree-lined roadway that Ben lost count.
Others stood near the curb as traffic passed by on both sides.
“One photoshoot, two photoshoots, three four…I’ve lost count,” Ben said as he drove down the street. “This is wild.”
Indeed, KTLA counted at least 22 people standing in the middle of the road taking or posing for pictures at 8:19 a.m., according to Ben’s video. He described the group of people he drove by last as “a giant douche convention in the middle of the street.”
Ben’s video came to a disappointing conclusion.
“So I didn’t end up getting coffee. I turned around and came home and went straight back to bed,” he said in a clip marked 8:23 a.m. “Guess we’ll try this another time.”
Beverly Hills officials remind individuals taking pictures on the city’s tree-lined streets that they must adhere to city ordinances and not impede traffic when taking photos in the residential areas.
