EXCLUSIVE: Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray’s Maven Screen Media has hired Anna Smith Tenser, most recently Managing Director and exec producer at Steve McQueen’s Lammas Park, as Chief Content Officer.
Based in London, Smith Tenser joins the team to develop a high-end TV slate and help grow the film slate. The 20-year industry vet, most recently worked on McQueen’s BAFTA-nominated feature Blitz, BAFTA-winning factual TV series Uprising, and Eloise King’s The Shadow Scholars, which screened at festivals including IDFA and Tribeca. She has also worked at firms including Iconoclast, Pulse and Stink.
Styler leads Maven’s global creative strategy from bases in London and New York, whilst also directing and producing pictures, including upcoming Rose’s Baby. Rattray oversees the slate across Europe and the U.S.
The company is known for championing women in film with a slate of female writers and directors including Scarlett Johansson, Gurinder Chadha, and Katie Holmes on upcoming features.
Upcoming titles include Christmas Karma, written and directed by Gurinder Chadha; Happy Hours, a trilogy from Katie Holmes starring Holmes, Joshua Jackson, and Constance Wu; Roses Baby, directed by Styler and featuring Antonio Banderas and Forest Whitaker; and Eleanor the Great, Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut, which premiered at Cannes and TIFF ahead of its September 2025 release. Also debuting at TIFF is & Sons, helmed by Pablo Trapero, written by Oscar-winner Sarah Polley, and starring Bill Nighy, Imelda Staunton, and Dominic West.
