Summary
- C.P. Company and Sashiko Gals release a new collaboration featuring one-of-a-kind military-inspired archive pieces
- The collection incorporates traditional Japanese “Sashiko” stitching, with each item made by female artisans
After the first-ever collaboration in March 2025, C.P. Company is teaming up with Sashiko Gals again, releasing reimagined military-inspired outerwear and knitwear based on the C.P. Company archive items between the 1980s and 2010s. Each piece from the collection is made to be one-of-a-kind, incorporating the traditional Japanese stitching technique “Sashiko.”
This time, the collection includes 6 items in total: a black leather jacket, a khaki mouton leather jacket, a military-green field jacket, a washed-blue full-button jacket, a sail shawl collar knit, and a brown jacquard crew neck knit.
Sashiko Gals is a project established in 2024 as a reconstruction support project for the Great East Japan Earthquake. At this moment, there are already 23 female artisans who create these unique fashion pieces using the traditional “Sashiko” techniques.
Each piece in this collaboration retails from the price ¥275,000 JPY (approximately $1,870 USD) to ¥1.43 million JPY (approximately $9,730 USD), with the mouton leather jacket being the most expensive item on the list. The C.P. Company x Sashiko Gals collaboration pop-up will run from September 24 to 30 at Isetan Shinjuku Men’s Building on the sixth floor. Like the previous release, the collection is exclusive to Japan, but you can stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates about this collaboration.
