Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper were spotted hand-in-hand strolling through the Big Apple, headed to an event to celebrate Hadid’s longtime friend and Vogue’s latest cover star Kendall Jenner. The two A-listers have been privately dating for almost two years, having first been spotted on a dinner date in October 2023.
Although they were romantically holding hands, Cooper’s attention wasn’t completely focused on Hadid. In his left hand, eagle-eyed viewers can see that Cooper is holding a smartphone playing the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Kansas City Chiefs game.
Cooper’s obsession with the Philadelphia Eagles is well documented. A Pennsylvania native, Cooper starred in David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook as the son of crazed Eagles fans played by Robert DeNiro and Jacki Weaver. Last year, Cooper played himself on the Philadelphia-based sitcom Abbott Elementary, sharing the best spot in the city to get hoagies.
Cooper also attended almost every Eagles game, and introduced the Eagles at Super Bowl LIX, while holding Declan LeBaron, an eight-year-old Eagles fan suffering from systemic juvenile arthritis. After meeting LeBaron at an Eagles playoff game, Cooper surprised LeBaron with tickets to the Super Bowl in a segment on the Today show. Together, they led the crowd in a rousing chant: “E-A-G-L-E-S—Eagles!” before their team took the field. Their chanting must have worked: the Eagles wound up beating Taylor Swift’s fiancee Travis Kelce and the Chiefs at the Super Bowl, 40-22.
Even a walk with his girlfriend couldn’t separate Cooper from the Birds. In a 2023 interview with Howard Stern, the 12-time Oscar loser said that he’d rather the Eagles win the Super Bowl than win an Oscar for best actor or best director for Maestro (or see his costar Carey Mulligan win for best actress). “Eagles Super Bowl victory,” Cooper replied, immediately. “I know. I’m sick.”
Hadid has a daughter, Khai, with singer Zayn Malik (former member of One Direction), while Bradley is the father of little Lea De Seine with model Irina Shayk. Like her father, Lea is also an Eagles fan, attending the Super Bowl with Cooper. “I used to come with my dad, and now I get to bring my daughter. It’s just a beautiful thing in life,” said Cooper in an interview on the field shortly after the Eagles won the Super Bowl.
Cooper may be the Eagles’s good luck charm: they won again Monday night, beating the Chiefs 20-17.
