A man was arrested in connection with a child pornography investigation in Orange County.
The suspect was identified as Juan Diego Rodriguez, 37, of Santa Ana, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
Officers were alerted by an investigator from the department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force to a user who had been downloading child sexual abuse material from the internet.
Following an investigation, detectives identified Rodriguez as the suspect. On Aug. 27, a search warrant was served at his home on the 400 block of South Poplar Street.
While searching the property, police seized multiple electronic devices and evidence related to the downloading of child pornography was found.
Rodriguez was arrested for felony possession of child pornography and was booked at the Santa Ana Jail.
“The Santa Ana Police Department is proud to be a member of the Los Angeles Regional ICAC Task Force, which is dedicated to the investigation and prosecution of individuals involved in the abuse and exploitation of children via the internet,” the department said.
