Keith Herron has built Advisry into an ascending archive of artistic, narrative-driven menswear. A honed hybrid of streetwear sartorial codes and high fashion aura, Advisry’s fourth runway show points to some of Herron’s sharpest storytelling yet.

Entitled “4 Moral Tales,” the range is named after Éric Rohmer’s film anthology of the same name. Set in a gallery in Chelsea, the show was split into four parts, each one named after one of Rohmer’s films: Restraint, Temptation, Obsession, and Detachment. Live music, a component that has grown into a staple of Herron’s live presentations, came from jazz duo Cisco Swank, who live-mixed four different sets for each of the four parts.

“What he really did was play with the intricacies and the details of the minutiae of human daily life, and extracted moral characters and complexities from those things,” Herron shared with Hypebeast post-show, saying it was these films that left him feeling more connected to himself, others, and humanity at large. “I wanted to figure out how I could communicate that through the medium of fashion, and the result is this collection.”

The show notes cite the quote at the top: “Every ordinary gesture hides a decision that could change everything. Truth often reveals itself in what goes unsaid,” citing the “quiet complexities of moral character” – “subtle gestures, fleeting glances, and internal contradictions,” included as the basis for the collection.

Models stepped onto the runway from behind four numbered curtains, each one of which dipped in a different color: red, blue, green, and brown. Recurring themes throughout the menswear and womenswear offering include what Herron calls “Altered Americana,” which symbolizes “the fractured state of our country,” as well as checkerboard prints, the Shepard’s Check pattern, and the motif of gloves.

Immerse yourself in the subtleties of humanity by way of Advisry’s “4 Moral Tales” Fall/Winter 2025 collection above, and stay tuned to Hypebeast for continuing New York Fashion Week coverage.
