Chris Parnell (Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock), Katelyn Tarver (Ballers, Famous In Love), and David Hornsby (Scarpetta, Mythic Quest) have joined the recurring cast of Netflix‘s untitled Will Ferrell golf series, working opposite Ferrell and Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro and Fortune Feimster.
The 10-episode series follows Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins (Ferrell), a fictional golf legend. Shannon will play his foul-mouthed ex-wife, Stacy; Tatro as Lonnie’s son Lance, an incredible pro golfer in his own right; and Feimster as Sam, a new caddie and possible good luck charm.
Parnell will play Anton, a PGA Tour board member and all-around jerk.
Tarver as Natalie, a social media influencer and Lance’s extremely supportive fiancée.
Hornsby as Radford- a rich southern man who is dating Stacy.
Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor are executive producers for Gloria Sanchez Productions. Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman and Nena Rodrigue are executive producers for T-Street. Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green and Andrew Guest will serve as executive producers.
Parnell is the third SNL alum to join the golf comedy, following Ferrell and Shannon. Their time on the long-running series overlapped for years. He also portrayed Dr. Leo Spaceman on seven seasons of NBC’s 30 Rock and starred as Fred Shay on three seasons of ABC’s Suburgatory. His voice credits include FXX’s Archer, Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty, and The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show for Netflix. Parnell is represented by Buchwald and Rise Management.
Tarver is a singer, songwriter, and actress whose TV credits include HBO’s Ballers, Freeform’s Famous In Love, Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush, and ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager. On the music front, she spent this summer touring amphitheaters and arenas with Big Time Rush, and will head to Europe with them this fall. Tarver is repped by Innovative Artists, Industry Entertainment, Amplified, and Myman Greenspan Fox.
Hornsby will next be seen in Scarpetta, an upcoming series from Blumhouse & Amazon. He is repped by CAA and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
