Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season starts with the first Thursday Night Football of the season, with a match between the Washington Commanders and the Green Bay Packers.
The game is set to take place in Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where Packers QB Jordan Love will face off against Commanders QB Jayden Daniels.
Both teams won their respective matches in Week 1 as they continue their road to the playoffs in 2026 and Super Bowl LX.
The Commanders and Packers game will also have a reunion between their respective head coaches Dan Quinn and Matt LaFleur. LaFleur was a Falcons QB coach between 2015 and 2016 when Quinn was the Head Coach in Atlanta.
“I’m pretty certain I wouldn’t be standing right here, right now if it weren’t for being with DQ for those two years in Atlanta,” LaFleur said in a press conference. “It just changed my whole mindset in regards to how much fun you could have within the building and still get down to business. It should be fun, we’re coaching ball … it was a great environment and I thought it was a true brotherhood that we had, and that’s something we certainly try to instill here as well.”
