Following up on his inaugural “Orange” adidas VIRGINIA Jellyfish unveiled in August, Pharrell is dropping a new “Green” colorway of the special sneaker.
Marking the launch of his VIRGINIA creative platform, the adidas VIRGINIA Jellyfish is an ode to the multifaceted musician and designer’s Virginia Beach roots, hence the sea creature theme. The retro silhouette, a reimagined variant of the 2005 Adistar Cushion, boasts chunky overlays with off-white, white, green, black, and olive accents.
Leaning into the deep sea theme, the aerodynamic green details of the upper feature a slightly more neon green, evocative of bioluminescent sea creatures. First appearing on Pharrell during Paris Fashion Week in January, colorways other than the “Orange” and “Green” variants have allegedly been spotted, including a triple-black and a blue.
As of the time of writing, adidas has not announced an official release date for the “Green” Jellyfish; however, pricing is expected to remain at $300 USD. Like before, eager customers can expect to see the shoes arrive on the adidas Confirmed app and the brand’s official webstore.
