The Kansas City Chiefs went into Week 1 looking to get the foul taste of their Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles out of their mouths. Unfortunately, they started off the new year 0-1 after losing to the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil.
Patrick Mahomes and company may not have gotten off to the start they were hoping for, but it’s just one game. However, there have been some pretty aggressive reactions to the loss.
It’s not common to see the Chiefs struggling to begin the year. Losing 27-21 is not a bad loss, but it’s a different look for Kansas City.

With that being said, one NFL legend has decided to sound the alarm about the Chiefs.
During an appearance on the “Up & Adams Show,” NFL Hall of Famer Cris Carter spoke out with his opinion on Kansas City. He is not very confident in the Chiefs at this point.
“I’m worried about Kansas City,” Carter said. “It’s going to be hard for them to regain their focus and be one of the elite teams.”

Over the last couple of years, there have been moments where people were worried about Kansas City. This is just another opportunity for the Chiefs to prove their doubters wrong.
Carter’s opinion is valued after the NFL career he put together. He makes a good point, but Kansas City has proven year after year that it can overcome setbacks and adversity. The Chiefs are one of the best dynasties the league has ever seen.
Looking ahead to Week 2 action, Kansas City will have a chance to bounce back from the season opener. In that game, the Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles at home in a rematch of the Super Bowl.

If they can come through with a win and get revenge for their championship loss, it could be enough to get Kansas City jumpstarted.
Any kind of strong reaction after Week 1 is an exaggeration. The Chiefs would have preferred to start the season off 1-0, of course, but an 0-1 record is far from something to worry too much about.
With Mahomes leading the way, Kansas City should still be viewed as one of the top Super Bowl contenders in the NFL.
