Las Vegas Raiders star tight end Brock Bowers suffered a significant-looking knee injury on a non-contact play during Week 1 against the New England Patriots.

Bowers was shown running a route, but it looked as though his knee was caught while running said route. There are no details regarding the injury just yet, but a sports doctor has hit the Raiders star with a brutal prediction.

The worry with the Brock Bowers injury is the hit from the outside causing stress to inside part of the kneePossible -MCL sprain-Meniscus issue Will have to rule out ACL as well pic.twitter.com/pTKQKynTe5

— Dr. Evan Jeffries, DPT (@GameInjuryDoc) September 7, 2025

According to GameInjury Doc, who is Dr. Evan Jeffries, the injury that Bowers sustained could either be an MCL sprain or a meniscus issue. He also indicated taht the Raiders will have to test the knee to determine if there has been an ACL injury.

The thing to note here is that Bowers will still need to undergo tests to determine the extent of the injury. At first glance, things may look severe, but that has not been corroborated by any means.

The Raiders also not yet confirmed what type of injury Bowers currently has, as he will need to undergo tests. The team did confirm that he is questionable to return due to the knee injury.

Bowers had a stellar rookie season in 2024 for the Raiders, bringing in 1,194 yards, five touchdowns, and 112 receptions. His 112 receptions broke the single-season reception record in the NFL for a rookie player.

Bowers was set to be a fixture for the Raiders’ passing game in 2025, and a significant injury now would be a tough loss for this Las Vegas team. Hopefully, Bowers only suffered a stinger in his knee, and he will be able to continue playing in Week 2.

The Raiders will also provide updates on Bowers as they come. The good news is the team was able to secure a 20-13 win against the New England Patriots without Bowers playing the full game.

Bowers ended the day with five receptions for 103 yards.
