A Southern California man was arrested for allegedly distributing child pornography on the internet and on social media platforms.
The suspect was identified as Daniel Bondietti, 37, of Carlsbad, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Detectives in Fontana were alerted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about possible child pornography being distributed on social media.
After investigating the online evidence, authorities confirmed it was sexually explicit in nature and involved juveniles. Bondietti was identified as the account holder of the device that was used to send and receive images of pornographic material involving children, officials said.
Detectives also learned Bondietti had been named as a suspect in an unrelated child porn case from another state.
On Sept. 3, he was taken into custody at his home. A search warrant was served at the residence, where several electronic devices were seized as evidence.
He was booked into West Valley Detention Center for the distribution of child pornography and his outstanding arrest warrant.
Investigators believe there may be more victims who were affected. A photo of the suspect was released in case any victims recognize him.
Anyone who may have been a victim or has additional information on the case is urged to file a report with their local law enforcement agency or call the Fontana Sheriff’s Station at 909-356-6767.
