A man was shot in the neck and upper back in the Bronx early Saturday when bullets flew in front of a Bronx community center — the latest in a surge of violence in the borough, cops said.

Three gunshots were fired in front of the Justice Sonia Sotomayor Community Center on Rosedale Ave. in Soundview around 7 a.m., striking a black SUV and the man who sat inside, police said.

Bullets tore through the passenger side window, hitting the 22-year-old “at least twice,” police and sources said.

The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, cops said.

The 25-year-old driver left him there and called 911 later to report the shooting, police sources said.

The men didn’t provide a description of the shooter or say in what direction the suspect fled.

ShotSpotter picked up three gunshots, the sources said.

The driver has five prior arrests that were all sealed, the sources said. The passenger had no prior arrests in the city. Neither appeared to have known gang ties, the sources said.

The bloody episode took place in the NYPD’s 43rd Precinct, which has seen 21 shooting incidents so far this year, an 11% spike over the 19 shootings in the same period last year, according to NYPD data. The number of shooting victims remained even at 22 at this point in both years.

A spate of shootings in the Bronx in August prompted Mayor Adams to order 1,000 cops to the borough and call for a summit with gang members at Gracie Mansion. The summit hasn’t taken place.

Shootings and murders are both down nearly 20% citywide year to date, according to NYPD data.
