Former Tennessee star quarterback, Nico Iamaleava, now UCLA’s starting signal-caller, had a particularly tough showing in the defeat, connecting on just 11 of 22 passes for 136 yards to go with one touchdown and one interception. Iamaleava also had 13 carries for 47 yards in the defeat.
UNLV, meanwhile, has opened its season with back-to-back wins, defeating Idaho State 38-31 and Sam Houston State 38-21, giving the Running Rebels a lot of confidence heading into this matchup against Big Ten foe UCLA on Saturday night.
