Michigan State, on the other hand, opened its season with a 23-6 win over Western Michigan. Quarterback Aidan Chiles connected on 17 of 23 passes for 155 yards with one touchdown. Running back Makhi Frazier carried the ball 14 times for 103 yards and one touchdown, while receiver Omari Kelly had seven receptions for 75 yards in the win.
