Martha Plimpton isn’t “ashamed” of her ADHD diagnosis.

While attending the “Task” premiere in New York City Thursday night, the “Goonies” alum was noticeably sporting an “ADHD” necklace and proudly chatted with Page Six about her condition on the red carpet.

“I’m actually a late diagnosis ADHD, like millions of others. It was actually a huge relief to be diagnosed,” Plimpton, 54, explained, revealing that she was “about 50” when she received the news.

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a developmental disorder characterized by an ongoing pattern of one or more of the symptoms, including inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity, according to the National Institute of Mental Health.

It is considered a “chronic and debilitating disorder” that can impact “many aspects” of a person’s life.

Plimpton shared that after the diagnosis, things began to make sense.

“So many little things fell into place and made sense that hadn’t made sense before,” she explained, noting that she is “not ashamed” and “finally free.”

“I’m glad to be sharing my ADHDness with the world,” she added.

As for Plimpton’s latest projects, the Emmy winner is back on the small screen playing an FBI supervisor in “Task” opposite Mark Ruffalo.

“She’s a special agent in charge, and she’s a woman, so she’s worked really hard to get where she is,” Plimpton explained. “So that means she’s had to deal with some bulls–t. She’s a woman who I think knows how to cut through the crap and take care of business.”

It’s a trait that Plimpton says she can relate to personally.

She says her character, an FBI officer, has had to “deal with some bulls–t.”

She has been a staunch supporter of abortion rights for many years, and despite Roe v. Wade being overturned, she refuses to get discouraged.

“I never lose hope, that’s what they want,” Plimpton said. “It’s absolutely possible to avail oneself of the tools and mechanisms to self-manage one’s own abortion.

“I think it’s really important to spread the message that mifepristone and misoprostol are still legal in this country, they’re still accessible, and they’re a perfectly safe and reliable way of terminating a pregnancy.”

“Task” begins airing on HBO and HBO Max on Sept. 7.
