Taylor Swift will not be attending the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards this weekend.
Page Six confirmed that the “Cruel Summer” singer will be a no-show at this year’s ceremony at New York’s UBS Arena Sunday.

Swift is nominated for the coveted Artist of the Year award — going up against Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen and The Weeknd.
The pop star notably attended last year’s ceremony and took home seven Moon Person trophies for her 2024 “The Tortured Poets Department “album.
It’s unclear why Swift won’t be attending this year’s event, though she is fresh off her engagement to Travis Kelce, who popped the question last month.
The couple started dating in the summer of 2023.
