EXCLUSIVE: Mark Pellegrino (Supernatural), Matt Ryan (Constantine), Kelly Arjen (Adverse), Samm Levine (Inglourious Basterds), and Thomas Ian Nicholas (American Pie) are set to star in Outsider, a thriller-drama written and directed by Brian A. Metcalf (A Motel).
Outsider is about a man (Pellegrino) whose wife is taken by human traffickers while vacationing with her in another country. With the help of a local prostitute (Arjen), he sets out to track her down — but soon discovers just how powerful those responsible are. The film is due to begin shooting this month.
Metcalf, Nicholas, Arjen, and Pellegrino are producing under their Black Jellybeans banner (Adverse), which is developing multiple film and television projects. Also in the pipeline is the upcoming series The Huntress, created by David Zanardi (Sixteen) and executive-produced by Zanardi, Shanyn Maguire (Palindrome), and Metcalf, who will also serve as showrunner.
