ALABAMA (WHNT) — Two Alabama women are among the next cast of the Golden Bachelor vying for Mel Owens’ heart.
Owens was named as the second Golden Bachelor earlier this year. He is a lawyer and former NFL player.
On Thursday, the cast for the season was announced: 23 women from across the country are listed.
Two of the women in the cast, both named Monica, are from Alabama!
First on the list was Monica B. of Huntsville.

Some fun facts about her include feeding the ducks with her granddaughter, she likes her white wine dry and her red wine full-bodied and her happy place is Martha’s Vineyard.
Next, People reported that the second Alabama woman on the season is from Birmingham.
“The cosmetic dentist has a career and family she’s very proud of and is looking forward to finding a man with whom to share her wonderful life. Monica P. is hoping to meet a guy who can match her warmth, energy and zest for life. While she may look all glammed up on the outside, Monica P. is a self-proclaimed tomboy at heart. When she’s not working or spending time with her sons, Monica P. loves a night of karaoke, playing board games, and going to Pilates daily,” her bio on the website says.
Some fun facts about Monica P. are that she can ride a skateboard, she loves to crochet and she believes that the bigger the hair, the better.
