Summary
- Zenith x USM debut Defy Chronograph collection at Geneva Watch Days
- Available in four dial colors: USM Green, Pure Orange, Golden Yellow and Gentian Blue
- The chronograph hand is tipped with a miniature USM-style ball joint as a playful detail
Zenith and USM Modular Furniture have joined forces to unveil the Defy Chronograph USM collection at Geneva Watch Days. By asking what might have emerged if USM’s modular Haller system (1965) and Zenith’s El Primero chronograph (1969) had converged, the two houses have created a capsule that channels their shared spirit of precision, purposeful aesthetics and modernity.
Each timepiece is housed in a 37.3 mm stainless-steel case that remains faithful to the original DEFY’s boldly octagonal silhouette and 14-sided bezel. It features four distinct dial colors, spanning USM Green, Pure Orange, Golden Yellow and Gentian Blue, each paying homage to the modular aesthetic of the USM Haller system. The chronograph seconds hand is tipped with a miniature USM-style ball joint filled with Super-LumiNova, adding a playful yet functional flourish.
Inside, Zenith’s legendary El Primero 400 caliber keeps time at a high frequency of 36,000 vph and offers a 55-hour power reserve. Through its sapphire caseback, collectors can admire the openworked rotor bearing both the Zenith star and USM logos.
Limited to only 60 pieces per colorway and priced at $11,800 USD, each watch is presented in a custom USM Haller–inspired timepiece chest that reflects the partnership’s commitment to structure and craftsmanship. For full specifications and ordering details, visit Zenith’s official website.
