Season 7 of The Kelly Clarkson Show will premiere on Monday, Sept. 29, NBCUniversal announced Wednesday. Production on Season 7 begins in studio the week of Sept. 8.
Guests slated to premiere this season include Emily Blunt, Marion Cotillard, Colin Farrell, Scarlett Johansson, Dwayne Johnson, Matthew McConaughey, Lionel Richie, Julia Roberts, Shonda Rhimes, Margot Robbie, Sylvester Stallone, Channing Tatum, Reese Witherspoon and others.
During premiere week, Clarkson will spotlight the heroes who rescued campers from the devastating floods in Texas in July. This is in lieu of Clarkson having to cancel a performance at Miranda Lambert’s Texas flood relief benefit in August following the death of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. The event was to help raise funds for the Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country and the Central Texas Community Foundation in support of Texans who were affected by the deadly flooding.
Filmed in front of a live studio audience in New York City, The Kelly Clarkson Show has held the top afternoon spot for six consecutive seasons. The show has earned multiple Gracie Awards, People’s Choice, Webby Awards and 22 Daytime Emmy Awards to date, including multiple wins for both Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host. The Kelly Clarkson Show is produced by Universal Television and is distributed in national syndication by NBCUniversal Syndication Studios. Alex Duda is showrunner. Clarkson, Duda and Kareen Gunning serve as executive producers.
