EXCLUSIVE: F Action, the new UK-based action-centric production company formed by Neil Marshall and Jadey Duffield is teaming up with Mohamed F. Mostafa, founder and CEO of Verstaile Syndergy, to develop and produce feature length action movies out of the UK and the UAE.
Kicking off the development slate are projects Skelton Coast, a survival thriller to be written and directed by Marshall, and Blackout, an espionage piece to be written and directed by Duffield.
Dog Soldiers and Hellboy director Marshall, also known for directing on hit series such as Game Of Thrones, Westworld and Black Sails, first joined forces with Duffield last year when the BFI approached the latter to write and direct four action shorts promoting its Art Of Action season of screenings and events, which Marshall produced and edited.
The collaboration led to the pair deciding to formalise the partnership, keeping the banner and expanding their focus to UK and international action projects across both feature film and streaming arenas.
Duffield’s background was in dance, motion-capture, and trainee stunt work. Short The Last Dumpling premiered at the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival in LA.
Businessman and actor Mohamed F. Mostafa recently played an MMA fighter in the UAE-produced series Khattaf, and also had a role in Idris Elba thriller Hijack.
