The No. 10 Miami Hurricanes defeated No. 6 Notre Dame, 27-24, in Week 1 on Sunday night. It marked the first game for Georgia transfer quarterback Carson Beck in a Hurricanes uniform, and he delivered with 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the victory.
The game was tied at 24, but Miami kicker Carter Davis knocked through a 47-yard field goal with just over a minute left, which proved to be the difference-maker.
On Monday, the good news kept on coming for the Miami program as it received a promising recruiting prediction.
Rivals’ recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong predicted elite wide receiver Nick Lennear to land at Miami.
Lennear is in the Class of 2027 and is ranked as the No. 3 WR in the class and No. 19 overall in the Rivals300 rankings, so this would be a massive piece for Miami and head coach Mario Cristobal.
Lennear is a four-star recruit and plays at Northwestern High School in Miami.

The wide receiver also has offers from programs including Colorado, Nebraska, Florida State, Louisville, Penn State, SMU and Indiana, but the prediction has Miami at 98.6 percent.
Lennear was expected to visit Miami, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Tennessee and Syracuse this fall, and Florida State and USC are also rumored to be making a push to host Lennear on a visit.
Last season, Lennear had 38 receptions for 657 yards with 11 touchdowns.
So, one day after Miami’s statement win over Notre Dame, the Hurricanes are now predicted to land Lennear as the recruiting battle heats up for the talented wide receiver.
