D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will return to Anaheim next summer, company officials announced Saturday.
The biennial convention is scheduled for Aug. 14–16, 2026, with additional fan offerings leading up to the main event, including D23 Day at Angel Stadium and D23 Day at Disneyland.
Disney officials said the 2026 event will be the “biggest one yet.”
Disney will once again utilize the Honda Center in the evening for larger presentations and panels covering a range of topics, from Disney theme parks to new movies.
Last year, Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, announced multiple projects, including:
- An Avatar-themed land: A new land inspired by “Avatar: The Way of Water,” as well as the upcoming third installment, “Avatar: Fire and Ash.” Is coming to the current Hollywood Backlot area of Disney California Adventure.
- New “Coco” attraction: The new ride will be located near Pixar Pier and Paradise Gardens and will be built largely in areas that are currently backstage. Construction is expected to begin this fall.
- Avengers: Infinity Defense will send riders through the Marvel Universe, from New York City to Wakanda and Asgard, as the Avengers face King Thanos. Construction starts next year.
- Stark Flight Lab will let guests test new Avengers tech, pairing riders with different heroes for unique flight experiences.
- Galaxy’s Edge update: A new experience is in development for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, with an alternate storyline inspired by “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine.
- “Walt Disney: A Magical Life”: The company’s first-ever Walt Disney audio animatronic will be featured in the new show. The experience is supposed to give guests a glimpse of what it would have been like to enter Walt’s office. The show is currently available at the Main Street Opera House.
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: Inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “The Princess and the Frog,” officially opened at Disneyland last November.
In addition to park news, fans can expect shopping, exhibits, panels, and presentations across the three-day event.
Disney Legend Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel in the 1989 animated film “The Little Mermaid,” will serve as the first official D23 FAN-bassador, engaging with fans throughout the year leading up to the convention.
Tickets for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event go on sale in spring 2026.
