No arrests have been announced after a shooting left two men dead at the City of Cerritos Sports Complex early Sunday morning, authorities confirmed.

It happened around 2:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, on the 19700 block of Bloomfield Avenue.

Details on the shooting are limited, but unconfirmed reports from the scene indicated multiple suspects opened fire on the victims before fleeing in two separate cars.

Footage and tips obtained by KTLA show homicide investigators examining what appeared to be numerous casings from possibly multiple firearms in the southwest parking lot of the complex.

LASD said the two victims, who have not been publicly identified, were transported to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The stringer news service OnScene.TV said a crowd of people, presumably friends or family, were seen crying at the hospital. Law enforcement was also reportedly present at the hospital.

The shooting is under investigation, and LASD encourages anyone with information to contact the Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.

To provide information anonymously, call “Crime Stoppers” by dialing 800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit the website lacrimestoppers.org.

Alexis Lewis contributed to this report.
