It was not all bad during Kalen DeBoer’s first season at the helm, but the Crimson Tide failed to reach double-digit wins for the first time since 2007, Nick Saban’s first season at Alabama. Replacing arguably the greatest coach in college football history is no easy task, but DeBoer showed he is at least up for the job by leading his team to a 9-4 record. After barely missing out on a chance at the national title last year, Alabama should once again be one of the best teams in the NCAA.
Florida State enters the season unranked but has a prime opportunity to secure a win against a top-10 team, which would likely catapult the Seminoles into the top 25. Florida State enters as massive underdogs, however, after an abysmal 2-10 record last year. They will look to return to their 2023 form, when they won 13 games.
