The Chicago Bears are set to face off against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season on Monday Night Football.
While there are a lot of questions surrounding the team, the Bears are hopeful of taking a big step forward. There is no question that the front office has put together a more talented roster and the move to hire head coach Ben Johnson was a big upgrade. However, it needs to be shown on the field.
Looking at the current roster, there are a couple of concerns. One of those concerns is on defense when it comes to their pass rush.
Chicago could still look to make a move to beef up their pass rushing room. To that end, one potential idea has been suggested.

Gene Chamberlain, who has covered the Bears for years, has suggested that New England Patriots’ defensive end Keion White would be worth looking into.
“Rather than look at the leftover old guys who will be with the team one year, the best option for the Bears might be offering a trade to the New England Patriots for Keion White,” Chamberlain wrote.
White, who was recently demoted to the second team for the Patriots, would be a very intriguing target for Chicago. He has proven himself to be a capable pass rusher, although there have been some issues with his consistency.
Last season in New England, White played in all 17 regular season games. He racked up 56 total tackles to go along with five sacks, two forced fumbles, and five defended passes.
In addition to suggesting White as a possible target for the Bears, Chamberlain also gave his opinion on what Chicago should be willing to give up to trade for him. He believes trading for White would be worth a third-round pick.

At just 26 years old, White could be a long-term pickup if the Bears were to get him. He would be given a fresh start to take his game to the next level. For a third-round pick, it would be worth the gamble for Chicago.
Expect to hear rumblings about potential roster moves for the Bears. There are still some areas that could use work. Making a move for a player like White would help make the Chicago defense much more dangerous.
