The Green Bay Packers acquired superstar Edge rusher Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark.
The Packers agreed to a four-year, $188 million deal with Parsons, and adding arguably the top pass rusher in the NFL will help their chances of making a Super Bowl run.
After the trade was announced, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst released a statement after moving on from Clark, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.
“We want to thank Kenny for the incredible impact he made in the locker room, on the field and in the community during his nine seasons in Green Bay. From the time he arrived in 2016, Kenny established himself as one of the top defensive tackles in the league and in the history of this franchise with his production, durability and leadership. He had the respect of everyone in the organization and epitomized what it meant to be a Green Bay Packer. Kenny will be greatly missed, and we wish him and his family nothing but the best in the future.”
Clark was selected 27th overall in the 2016 NFL draft by the Packers and had been a steady force for them. In his time in Green Bay, Clark made the Pro Bowl three times and played in 140 regular-season games with 126 starts while playing every game the past four seasons.

The End of an Era in Green Bay
Clark was Green Bay’s longest-tenured player, so moving on from him is a bit of a tough pill to swallow.
However, adding a superstar player such as Parsons makes up for it in every way.
With Clark leaving for Dallas, Green Bay’s starting defensive tackles are Karl Brooks and Devonte Wyatt, per ESPN, and it will take time to get used to not seeing Clark in a Green Bay uniform.
