The Green Bay Packers have Micah Parsons on their defensive line after the blockbuster trade on Thursday with the Dallas Cowboys.
While the Packers were likely seen as a playoff contender, the addition of Parsons now catapults them into a new category. The Athletic reported that the Cowboys received defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks from the Packers.

The NFC landscape has now changed and ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky didn’t hold back on his expectations for the Packers as Green Bay are likely seen as a major threat to the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles.
“This team should be in the NFC Championship game, and it will be a disappointment if in this now, let’s call it three-year window, they don’t win the Super Bowl,” Orlovsky said on “First Take.”
Moreover, Orlovsky highlighted the Packers’ defense this season, saying they need to capitalize on this window because they have a dynamic duo in place.
“This is the best pass-rush duo in the NFC right now,” Orlovsky added. “You pair Micah [with] Rashan Gary, go get the quarterback. They got one of the best young linebackers in the NFL, Edgerrin Cooper. The one flaw on this defense, really on the football team, was the corner position. They weren’t stars. Best way to get corners to play above their skis is to get after the quarterback faster than anybody else.

“This is a defense under Jeff Hafley, their new defensive coordinator last year. As the season went on, they became like a top-five, top-seven defense. They were playing big-time football. Now you get a game wrecker, I will continue to use that. There [are] only six or seven of them in the NFL. You get a game wrecker added to that defense. Here we go.”
As Orlovsky mentioned, they will have two players that can get to the quarterback and probably boost Green Bay’s 45 total sacks from last season.
