Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love had a relatively disappointing season in 2024 considering the sky-high expectations that were placed upon him following a masterful second half of 2023. But now, Love seems ready to redeem himself.
The Packers loaded up on even more weapons this offseason, adding wide receivers Matthew Golden and Savion Williams via the NFL Draft. They also struck a major deal with offensive lineman Aaron Banks in free agency.

The stars are definitely aligned for Love to have a huge campaign in 2025, and ESPN’s Dan Graziano has gone as far to float the 26-year-old in MVP talk.
“If the Packers can improve their performance against the league’s top contenders and Love can stay healthy, they are set up to win a lot of games this season,” Graziano wrote. “And if they do that, their quarterback is going to be a top MVP candidate.”
Green Bay won 11 games last season, but struggled against top competition. Graziano noted that six of their seven losses (including playoffs) came at the hands of the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles, the three best teams in the NFC.
It’s not like Love was terrible, though. Far from it. He threw for 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while completing 63.1 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 96.7 in 15 games. Remember: he missed a couple of contests after injuring his knee against the Eagles in Week 1.
The former first-round draft pick has tremendous arm talent and has displayed vast potential, so it would not be the least bit surprising to see Love have a monster season in 2025.

Considering that the Packers signed Love to a four-year, $220 million contract extension in July 2024, it would actually be pretty discouraging if the Utah State product didn’t have a bounce-back season this fall.
Green Bay will open up against the Detroit Lions on Sept. 7.
