One thing most people can agree upon concerning the Green Bay Packers is that they have a very crowded wide receiver room heading into the 2025 NFL season.
The Packers already had a surplus of receivers before the NFL Draft. Then, they selected Matthew Golden with their first-round pick and came back around to nab Savion Williams on Day 2, creating quite a glut at the position.

However, Green Bay has seemed intent on going into the year with its current setup at wide out, especially with Christian Watson sidelined while recovering from a torn ACL. But Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton actually feels the Packers will make a move prior to Week 1.
Moton is predicting that Green Bay will trade Romeo Doubs to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick, providing Cam Ward with another weapon for his rookie campaign in Music City.
“When Watson is back on the field, Doubs, who, according to SI.com’s Bill Huber, was frustrated with his role last season, could be expendable for the right compensation,” Moton wrote. “The 25-year-old has a manageable $3.6 million cap number in the final term of his rookie deal.”
A fourth-round pick would actually be a solid return for Doubs, who caught 46 passes for 601 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games last season. But would the Packers trade him so soon without knowing whether or not Watson will return healthy? Plus, for as good as Golden and Williams look as prospects, they are just rookies, so neither player is a sure thing.

Doubs was originally selected by Green Bay in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and has been a fixture in the Packers’ aerial attack ever since. His breakout year came in 2023, when he hauled in 59 receptions for 674 yards and eight scores.
The 25-year-old has played second fiddle to Jayden Reed thus far, so perhaps he would welcome a change of scenery. But whether or not Green Bay would actually want to jettison Doubs right now is the question.
