Amal Clooney made a throwback style statement at the Venice Film Festival, rocking a bright fuchsia minidress with a show-stopping train.
The human rights lawyer, 47, showed off her svelte figure in the body-hugging strapless style as she accompanied her husband, George Clooney, to the premiere of his new film, “Jay Kelly,” on Thursday.
The bold dress appeared to take some style inspiration from the ’80s down to its ruching, buttons running down the middle and its taffeta-like material.
Amal finished off the look with silver t-strap Aquazzura heels, a gold clutch and drop earrings.
George, 64, made his return to the spotlight after he abruptly pulled out of promotional events for “Jay Kelly” on Wednesday due to an illness, a representative confirmed to Page Six.
“George has been diagnosed with a sinus infection and is under doctor’s orders to cut back all activities today,” his rep told us.
George and Amal arrived in Venice Wednesday, with Amal sporting a butter yellow Balmain midi dress. They were also photographed on a date night in Lake Como, Italy, on Tuesday. Amal stunned again in a peach off-the-shoulder Taller Marmo minidress trimmed with ostrich feathers along the cuffs and hem.
The mother of two has recently been showing off multiple glamorous looks in Lake Como. Earlier this month, she wore a one-shouldered Badgley Mischka midi dress covered in silver sequins and fringe for another night out with her husband.
Amal praised George for letting her be herself in rare comments about their marriage last month.
“I have a partner in life who is so supportive of what I do,” the human rights attorney told Glamour magazine.
“So I don’t feel like I have to apologize for it or rein it in.”
The power couple has been married since September 2014 and share 8-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander.
“I feel so extraordinarily lucky to have met this incredible woman,” George told “CBS Mornings” in April of his wife.
“And I feel as if I hit the jackpot. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t think I’m the luckiest man in the world. So it’s great.”
