PHOENIX – A pair of Powerball tickets purchased in Arizona produced $50,000 payouts over the weekend.
One entry came from the Arco at 36th Street and Bell Road in Phoenix, and the other came from the Hualapai Kwik Stop in Kingman.
The tickets both matched four of the five white numbers – 11, 14, 34, 47 and 51 – plus the red Powerball of 18 in Saturday’s drawing.
Powerball is a multistate game of chance with drawings every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night. Tickets cost $2 and can be purchased at over 3,000 retailers around Arizona.
After the jackpot went unclaimed on Saturday, the top prize for Monday’s drawing will be an estimated $750 million. That ranks 10th on the list of largest jackpots in Powerball history.
