Colorado Buffaloes head football coach Deion Sanders is among the most popular names in the football world. While he’s focused on the upcoming 2025 college football season, his sons, Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders, are both looking to make their names known at the NFL level.

Both players are headed into their rookie seasons in 2025. Right now, Shedeur is playing for the Cleveland Browns and Shilo is on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Obviously, Shedeur is the more popular name between the two brothers. Shilo is looking to make a name for himself, but is nowhere close to the level of his brother right now.

With that being said, Sanders has done an excellent job in helping his sons reach the NFL level. Now, he’s hoping to see them find success with their respective teams.

Ahead of their rookie seasons, the older Sanders spoke out with a clear message to his sons.

In an interview with Bleacher Report, Sanders made it clear that he expects both of his boys to give their best day in and day out.

“My deal with my kids is that they don’t have to be the best, but they do have to give their best,” Sanders said. “They’ve always been very mature, and they’re very understanding of the times and what they’re up against. I’m truly excited to see them overcome all the adversity and for them to shine.”

Only time will tell what the two rookies are able to accomplish in the NFL. Sanders has set them on the right path. Now, they simply need to put in the work.

For Shedeur, he will have a chance to become the Browns’ long-term quarterback. He has already showcased impressive talent, but he has also handled his situation with maturity.

Shilo, on the other hand, likely will have a much bigger uphill battle to earning a spot in the NFL. It’s unknown whether or not he’ll stick with the Buccaneers on their 53-man roster at this time.

Also, it will be interesting to see what Sanders is able to do at Colorado. Without both of his sons and Travis Hunter on the team, he’ll be facing a major challenge as well.
